El Café de Rubby
El Café de Rubby is grown and produced on La Pradera, a farm full of natural riches. Through a friendly process with its environment, it is always bearing in mind the sustainability of its ecosystem along with the importance of treating it with dignity and respect.
Located in Salento, Quindío, in the heart of Colombia, La Pradera is surrounded by winding rivers, green bamboo, banana crops, snow-capped mountains and volcanoes.
The La Pradera Farm has the essential characteristics that contribute to the unique flavor of Rubby’s coffee. Characterized by its delicious aroma of caramel, accompanied by fruity fragrances with touches of panela and cinnamon, which make this a unique, world class coffee.
Rubby’s coffee has had a long journey to get to where it is now. In part it is due to a beautiful farm that has seen a family grow for over 5 generations, maintaining a coffee tradition and culture that has allowed even the youngest of people to know the true value of coffee farms.
La Pradera is an ancestral land that brings a quality coffee full of calm, respect, and love from Quindío.
In Salento, a municipality of Quindío, and especially in the Vereda of San Juan de Carolina, the climatic, geographical, and environmental conditions exist to produce and extract wonderful agricultural products from the land.
And, in the middle of the landscape, is Finca la Pradera, owned by an enterprising woman in her 80s, Rubby Marín, a descendant of coffee-growing families, who was married for many years to a Colombian army hero with whom she raised a home, an example of work and service to the community.
After becoming a widow, Rubby Marín took over the coffee plantations with the help of hardworking farmers. But she did not stop at the sowing, but she subjected the grain to qualified processing to produce a pure and excellent coffee that exquisite palates taste, eager for unique and original flavors.
The coffee fruit has a red color like the ruby, which is a precious stone that represents love, emotion, courage, and passion. That is why Rubby Coffee is precious nectar that pleases the taste and makes the heart shine.
